The Wemos Micro SD Shield is a small printed circuit board (PCB) that attaches to a Wemos D1 Mini via a set of expansion pins. On this PCB, we find a micro SD card slot that accepts micro SD cards of various capacities, usually up to 32 GB or more, depending on the specifications and limitations of the library used. It uses the SPI protocol to communicate with the Wemos board, allowing for high-speed data transfers.
When using this shield, it is important to note that the actual read/write speed may vary depending on the quality of the micro SD card and the software implementation of the SPI stack.
Also, make sure that the libraries and source code are configured properly for specific CS (Chip Select) pins to allow proper communication with the micro SD card.
