The WCS1600-100A Hall Effect Current Sensor Module is ideal for applications that require accurate measurement of DC or AC current without physically breaking the circuit. The module allows non-invasive detection of current through the conductor, providing an easy-to-implement solution for monitoring electrical consumption in various applications.
It has two types of outputs, an analog ( Aout ) proportional to the measured current, and a digital ( Dout ) which is automatically activated when the current exceeds a threshold set by the trimmer. The digital output can be useful when you want to activate a 5V relay for example by sending a signal to it.
Attention: There is an arrow on the sensor indicating the mounting direction of the measured wire. It follows the flow from + to - in the direction of the arrow.

Use:
Connect the sensor to a 5V DC source on VCC and GND.
Insert the electrical conductor through the 9 mm hole in the sensor, following the arrow marked on the sensor that establishes the direction of current flow.
Connect the outputs (analog and/or digital) to the monitoring or control system.
Adjust the trimmer to set the trigger threshold of the digital output, if the digital output is used.
