Discharge monitoring module, 12VDC power supply, for voltage control and protection applications in circuits powered by direct current (DC) in the range 0-99.9V.
Digital voltage control module with relay for applications requiring monitoring and protection of circuits powered by variable input voltages. The module monitors the voltage in a circuit (e.g. a battery, a power supply) and controls a relay according to set limits. In other words, it is an automatic voltage protector and switch with digital display and programmable functions.
It operates over a wide voltage range (0-99.9V DC), with a regulation accuracy of 0.1V.
The module provides overvoltage and undervoltage protection, as well as charge and discharge control via a 10A SRD relay.
WARNING! This module is NOT compatible with alternating voltage (AC). Detecting AC voltage or pulsating DC voltage (without filtering) may cause unstable operation or burnout of the board. It is recommended to use only with pure DC signal.
It has a three-character display that shows the voltage and allows settings such as lower and upper voltage limits, working mode (H-1 to H-7) and calibration (voltage correction).
Interaction with the module is done through the three buttons, SET, Plus and Minus, which allow navigation and making settings.
On the side are available 2.54mm header compatible pins with V (Input Voltage), R (Relay Output), G (Ground) and S (Relay COM).
Specifications:
Supply voltage: 12V
Voltage detection range: 0-99.9V
Maximum current: 12A
Working modes: H-1 to H-7
Protections: charging, overvoltage
Display: LED
Voltage resolution: 0.1V
Dimensions: 56x44mm
Operating modes:
| Mode | Name | Functional description | Relay behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| H1 | Load monitoring | The relay turns on when the voltage drops below the lower limit and turns off when it exceeds the upper limit. | Automatic charging control (e.g. batteries). |
| H2 | Download monitoring | The relay turns on when the voltage exceeds the upper limit and turns off when it drops below the lower limit. | Automatic discharge control. |
| H3 | Range control (OFF in range) | The relay is active only when the voltage is outside the set range. | Abnormal value protection. |
| H4 | Interval control (ON in interval) | The relay is active only when the voltage is within the defined limits . | Normal operation within safe range. |
| H5 | Fixed point | The relay turns on when the voltage exceeds the set threshold and turns off when it drops below the same threshold. | Simple switching on a single threshold. |
| H6 | Self-locking | The relay remains active after exceeding the threshold, until manually turned off or reset. | Status retention until reset. |
| H7 | Punctual pulse | When the lower set value is reached, the relay emits a short pulse (jog type). | Temporary command signal. |
Use:
The battery whose voltage needs to be monitored is connected to the detection terminals.
A stabilized 12VDC power supply is connected to the middle terminals, Power Supply.
On the right terminals, Control Contact Switch, the consumer that is to be turned on or off depending on the voltage detected from the battery is inserted. These terminals only provide a closed or open contact. The battery voltage does not pass through them. The consumer must be connected in series with these terminals to the battery that is being monitored.
To enter the configuration menu, press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds. Use the + button to navigate between options (F01 – upper voltage limit, F02 – lower voltage limit, F03 – operating mode, F04 – voltage calibration, etc...).
After selecting the desired option, press SET again to change the parameters.
Finally, press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds to save and exit the menu.
