PNP inductive sensor from the LJ12A3-4 series, designed for applications where it is necessary to identify metal objects without physical contact. It has a robust metal construction and a detection distance of up to 4 mm.
The nickel-plated brass housing and ABS sensing surface ensure durability and resistance to industrial environments. It operates at voltages between 6 and 36V DC and is equipped with a red LED to indicate activation. Reverse polarity protection and IP65 protection rating make it suitable for use in various industrial environments.
The sensor is of the NO (Normally Open) type, meaning it is Normally Open.
Do not connect the sensor output (black wire) directly to a consumer (e.g. lamp, motor, power relay, etc.). The output is designed to be connected to a logic input of a controller (PLC, microcontroller, optocoupler relay module, etc.), not to directly control high current consumption loads.

Install the sensor on an M12 compatible mount, ensuring a clear distance from other metal objects that could interfere with detection.

The metal object inserted within the range of 0–4 mm will activate the sensor output and light up the red LED.
Test with a ferromagnetic metal object (e.g. steel screw) to confirm correct activation.
Avoid incorrect wire connections and do not use the sensor in applications with currents above 300mA or in the presence of excessive moisture.
Do not connect the sensor output (black wire) directly to a consumer (e.g. lamp, motor, power relay, etc.). The output is designed to be connected to a logic input of a controller (PLC, microcontroller, optocoupler relay module, etc.), not to directly control high current consumption loads.
If control of a consumer is necessary, use an intermediate relay or a switching transistor, appropriately sized, protected with a flyback diode if necessary.
Exceeding the maximum allowed current (300 mA) may lead to permanent sensor failure.
