The set contains a 280 m roll of thin copper wire of the wire wrapping type, in 8 colors, with 30AWG cross-section. The conductor is tin-plated, which protects it from corrosion and improves its electrical conductivity. The wire is suitable for flying leads on electronic boards, test wiring, prototyping on perforated boards, trace repairs, and assemblies made by wrapping or soldering.
The conductor is solid-core, with a core diameter of 0.25 mm, and the insulated wire diameter is 0.6 mm. The colored insulation makes it easy to track signals in a dense assembly, and the maximum operating temperature is 80 °C. The small diameter allows the wires to pass between components and near nearby pins without taking up much space on the board.
Among the main features are the 8 different colors, the total length of 280 m, the tin-plated copper conductor, and the solid, rigid core that keeps its shape after installation. The roll is wound on a plastic spool, from which the wire can be unwound and cut to the required length.

Usage:
Unwind the required length of wire from the roll, choose the desired color, and cut the wire with a precision cutting pliers.
Strip the ends of the wire to the required length with a special pliers for thin conductors, without cutting or bending the 0.25 mm conductor.
For soldered connections, apply a small amount of solder alloy to the stripped end and solder the wire to the desired pad or pin, using a fine-tip soldering iron.
For wrapped connections, use a wire wrapping tool suitable for 30AWG wire and wrap the stripped conductor around the pin.
Do not bring the soldering iron tip closer to the wire insulation than necessary, as the insulation has a maximum operating temperature of 80 °C.
Use different colors for different signals, for example one color for power, one for ground, and the others for signals, and then note the chosen color code.
Do not use the wire for high currents or mains voltages, as the conductor has a diameter of only 0.25 mm.
For a stable assembly, use wires as short as possible, secure them with a little adhesive or insulating tape where needed, and check the continuity of each connection with a multimeter.
