The voltage inverter module from 12VDC to 12VAC, IV1212TA, capable of converting 12V DC to 12V AC, square wave, output frequency 50Hz and a maximum power of up to 200W (only with active cooling, otherwise 100W).
The module has anti-inversion protection at the input, ensuring safe use. The performance of the product is stable, and the output frequency can be fine-tuned.
The maximum voltage range supported on the input is between 8VDC and 15VDC, with a recommendation for use at 12VDC. The input power must be 1.5 times the maximum output power.
The module does not have an output voltage adjustment, which is equal to the input voltage.
To ensure safe operation, connect 10A fuses in series with both the input and the output.
It can be used together with a 12VAC-220VAC transformer to convert the 12VAC voltage from the output to 220VAC. This transformer can be purchased separately.
Specifications:
Input Voltage: DC12V (applicable between DC8V and 15V)
Output Voltage: AC12V (equal to the input voltage
Output Waveform: AC Square Wave
Output frequency: 50Hz, finely adjustable
Output Current: Maximum 10A (requires cooling equipment for high current)
Output Power: Up to 200W with cooling equipment, 100W without cooling
Operating Temperature: -25℃~85℃
Dimensions mm: 66 x 40mm
Use:
Make sure that the input voltage is stable between 8V and 15V DC.
Connect the power source to the inverter module.
Connect the device or load to the AC12V output of the inverter.
For high current use, make sure the module is equipped with an adequate cooling system.
It is recommended to use a 10A fuse at the output and at the input for protection.
Indications:
Transformer Type: Do not use leakage inductance transformers or high frequency transformers with this inverter, as they may damage the module.
Transformer Output Voltage Dependence: The output voltage without load of the inverter depends on the transformation ratio of the transformer and the input voltage. If the no-load output voltage is normal, the power of the transformer may drop significantly under load.
Transformer Power: In the case of transformers with several windings, it is important to choose the right winding for the desired voltage. Transformer manufacturers may distribute the total power unequally between the various windings. For example, in the case of a 500W transformer with 28V, 9V and 12V windings, most of the power can be allocated to the 28V windings, leaving less power for the 9V and 12V ones.
Considerations about Cables and Batteries: Check if the input wires are thick enough and if the battery has the required capacity. Small batteries, thin wires and low power transformers cannot produce the maximum power of the board.
Transformation Ratio and Output Voltage: The transformation ratio affects the output voltage, that is, the relationship between the number of turns (windings) on the primary coil and the number of turns on the secondary coil influences the output voltage of the transformer. For example, a black and white TV transformer that uses 220V (primary) to double 17V (secondary) can only produce a voltage of about 155V.
