Battery capacity tester module, HW-586, designed for precise measurement of the actual capacity of batteries through a controlled discharge process.
It operates on a resistive load, which means that the resistors heat up strongly during operation, making it mandatory to mount the 50W aluminum resistor on a metal plate for proper heat dissipation and safety in use.
The module is equipped with special DC bias to improve the accuracy of measurements, so that in the absence of a battery connection it displays a low voltage, without influencing the actual results. The tester supports discharge currents up to 3A, displays voltage, current and discharged capacity, and can automatically or manually set the cut-off voltage depending on the type of battery being tested. It is ideal for testing Li-ion, LiFePO4, NiMH or lead batteries.

Instructions:
1. Connect the fully charged battery according to the diagram on the PCB. Plus to Plus, Minus to Minus. DO NOT CONNECT REVERSELY!
2. Connect the load used to discharge the battery according to the image below.
3. Power the tester via the MicroUSB jack with 5VDC.
4. When you press the OK button, the tester will display the estimated discharge voltage. This value can be manually adjusted by the Plus and Minus buttons.
5. Press OK again and the tester will start discharging the battery with the three measured parameters (battery voltage, discharge current and discharged capacity) flashing.
Errors displayed:
Err1 : Battery voltage greater than 15V
Err2 : Battery voltage lower than the minimum voltage set
Err3 : The battery cannot withstand the discharge current or there is too much resistance on the wires used.
Err4 : Current greater than module limit (3A)
