The smart solar power manager Y06A is a compact module designed for optimizing the charging of electronic devices from photovoltaic panels between 6 and 24VDC, suitable for off-grid systems, renewable energy projects, and applications where a stable power source from the sun is required.

Equipped with MPPT technology, this module tracks the maximum power point of the solar panel to extract as much available energy as possible and improve charging efficiency compared to classic PWM solutions.

It accepts input voltages between 6 and 24VDC, provides a stabilized 5V output via USB Type-C port and screw terminal, supports a maximum current of up to 3A, and allows connection of 3 Li-ion 18650 batteries for energy storage.

The module includes dedicated circuits for solar power management, battery protection, and USB boost output, as well as protections against overcurrent, overvoltage, and reverse polarity.

Due to its small size, mounting holes, and status indicators, it is easy to integrate into portable projects, solar chargers, backup systems, and electronic assemblies powered by renewable sources.

Layout:

1. Solar panel charge input: Charging performed from the solar panel via DC-002 jack or screw terminal, auto-adaptable input voltage.

2. Type-C charge input: Charging from a 5V adapter via Type-C connector or 5V output for external devices.

3. Power output: Screw terminal: 5V / 3A output.

4. Battery interface: For connecting a rechargeable 3.7V Li battery via screw terminal or PH2.0 4P connector.

5. SW6106: USB power management circuit, for USB charging and 5V / 3A boost output.

7. XB8886A: Li battery protection against over-discharge and overcharge.

8. Battery charge level indicators: Light up during charging or when a load is connected and turn off after 30 seconds if no load is connected.

9. Solar panel charge indicators: The "Charge" indicator lights up when charging from the solar panel is active, and the "Done" indicator lights up when the battery is fully charged from the solar panel.

Usage:

The module is used for charging electronic devices and managing energy from solar panels, in combination with 18650 Li-ion batteries. Connect the solar panel to the module input respecting polarity, then connect compatible batteries and the device to be powered or charged to the USB Type-C output or the 5V terminal.

The module continuously monitors the available energy from the panel and adjusts charging parameters to maintain stable power supply. It is recommended for portable projects, backup power systems, USB solar chargers, autonomous electronic assemblies, and educational or prototyping applications.

1. Connect the solar panel to the module input terminals, respecting polarity (+ and -), then connect the device to be charged to the USB Type-C port. The module starts automatically when the solar panel receives sufficient light.
