2S and 3S Lithium battery charging module with USB Type-C port power supply that supports both standard 5V charging and QC fast charging. The module converts the input voltage to the appropriate voltage for 2S (8.4V) or 3S (12.6V) batteries and has a balancing function for 2S (3S does not offer the balancing option), ensuring fast charging with settable current by configuring the RISET resistor.
It has an efficiency of up to 94% and integrates multiple protections, making it ideal for projects involving rechargeable lithium batteries.
The module allows for charging current regulation and is equipped with overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, as well as input voltage and undervoltage protections. It is configured for 2S (8.4V) by default, but can be easily converted to 3S (12.6V) by removing the resistor and shorting the jumper.
The integrated LED indicates the charging status or a possible error.
The module also offers a temperature monitoring function by adding an external NTC that will stop charging if a certain temperature is exceeded.

Use:
IMPORTANT! The supply voltage must be lower than the discharged battery voltage!
Connect the "+" and "-" terminals of the battery according to the markings.
For 2S, connect the BM pin between the two cells if the balancing function is desired.

Select package type:
Default set for 2S (8.4V).
For 3S (12.6V): remove the specific resistor and short the ROV point according to the diagram. The 3S configuration requires a QC charger capable of 9V.

Power input:
Uses Type-C port for charging. For 2S, a 5V 2A power supply is sufficient. For 3S, a 9V QC power supply is required.
Alternatively, power it through welded wires ( input voltage must be lower than battery voltage ).

The current is adjustable by replacing the RISET resistor (e.g. 100K = 0.9A).
Formula : ICHG = 90000 / RISET.

NTC setting:
Steps to activate NTC:
Replace the original resistor connected to the NTC with an 82KΩ one.
Connect a 100KΩ thermistor (B=4100) as follows: One end connects to the NTC point, the other end connects to ground (GND), usually on the adjacent pad.
Place the physical thermistor on the battery pack to detect the actual temperature during charging.
