The 5 mm LED holder is made of metal, has an external thread, and is mounted on panels, enclosures, and the front panels of equipment, where the indicator LED must be fixed neatly and securely. It is supplied together with a white plastic insulator, which isolates the LED contacts from each other and from the metal body of the holder. It is suitable for control panels, laboratory equipment, power supplies, amplifiers, electronic project enclosures, and other applications with light indicators.
The holder accepts 5 mm diameter LEDs and fits into a mounting hole with an 8 mm diameter. The front part is flared, cone-shaped, and frames the LED head, while the rear thread allows it to be secured with a nut to the panel thickness.
Its main features include the threaded metal body, the flared front section, the hexagonal retaining nut, and the white plastic insulator for the LED contacts. The holder is a passive mechanical part and does not require power.
The holder is compatible with leaded 5 mm LEDs, regardless of color, so it can be used in projects with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, or other circuits that drive an indicator LED.

Usage:
Drill an 8 mm diameter hole in the panel or enclosure and remove any burrs from the edges.
If the nut is mounted on the thread, unscrew it and keep it for securing the holder.
Insert the holder through the front of the panel, with the flared part facing outward, and secure it from the back with the nut.
Tighten the nut moderately, without excessive force, so as not to deform the holder or damage the panel.
Insert the white plastic insulator into the holder from the back, then mount the 5 mm LED into the insulator so that the LED head reaches the flared part of the holder.
Check that the LED leads come out through the back of the insulator and do not touch the metal body of the holder.
Observe the LED polarity (anode to plus, cathode to minus) and always use a current-limiting resistor, calculated according to the supply voltage and the LED current.
If the panel or enclosure is metal and connected to ground or another voltage, use the plastic insulator to avoid short circuits between the LED leads and the holder.
