The Waveshare ESP32-S3-SIM7670G-4G development board is a complete multifunctional development module, designed for IoT projects and smart applications that require 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GNSS connectivity in a single platform.
Based on the ESP32-S3R2 microcontroller, equipped with a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor at 240 MHz, the module integrates a SIM7670G Cat-1 that ensures stable 4G communication, with support for satellite positioning (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo).
The board features a variety of interfaces — USB Type-C port, microSD (TF) slot, 24-pin camera interface (compatible with OV2640 and OV5640), nano-SIM slot, as well as 18650 battery support. It includes dedicated circuits for solar power, battery charging, voltage measurement, reverse protection, and automatic switching between power sources.
Through the DIP Switch (pos. 30), the user can independently control the power supply of the camera, SIM7670G module, USB channel and HUB circuit power. Integrated LED indicators provide clear information about power, solar charging, network and battery status.
The module can function both as a portable WiFi hotspot with 4G access, and as a complete IoT platform, capable of sending data via MQTT to cloud platforms (e.g. Waveshare.cloud ).
Thanks to the high-performance integrated circuits (EA3036C, ETA6098, MAX17048G, SY81051ADC, CH343, CH334, TXB0104PWR), the board ensures efficient energy management and long-term stable operation, making it ideal for mobile, autonomous or remote monitoring applications.

Connect the board to your computer via the USB Type-C port for power and programming.
Mounts the nano-SIM card, LTE and GNSS antennas and, optionally, the OV2640 camera (also compatible with OV5640).
Configure the DIP Switches (pos. 30) to activate the camera, power the 4G module or select the USB channel.
Power the board via USB, via an 18650 battery (slot 32) or via a solar panel connected to the interface (pos. 18).
Insert the microSD card to store data or images.
Program the ESP32-S3 in Arduino IDE or ESP-IDF, using the examples provided by Waveshare (4G hotspot, MQTT, GPS tracking).
