D1 Mini battery expansion board, TP4056, with 5V step-up
Shield for D1 Mini that allows powering from a 1S Li-Ion battery, includes safe charging with TP4056 and overcharge and discharge protections, raises the voltage to 5V for stable operation, has selectable charging current 0.5A or 1A via jumper and charging status LED.

The expansion board (shield) for D1 Mini is intended to improve the functionality of the D1 Mini module by adding the possibility to power the D1 board with a lithium battery (1S). It is equipped with a TP4056 module, which allows charging lithium batteries with high efficiency and offers safety measures to protect the battery during discharge and charging.
In addition, it has a 5V voltage booster module, which allows the battery to power the circuit at 5V when the board is powered exclusively from the battery. The expansion board is also equipped with an indicator LED to display the charging status.
On the back of the board there is a jumper (J1) that allows setting the charging voltage to 1A or 0.5A. Choose the correct charging current in order not to damage the battery (it is recommended to charge with 0.5C, i.e. half of the battery's capacity).
Important: The board comes without the pin bar. To be mounted on the D1, you need a male pin header with a distance of 2.54mm.
