Compact module for charging single-cell Li-ion batteries (3.7V) and powering various applications via an integrated step-up converter. The module allows charging batteries from a power supply between 4V and 7.5V or directly from a standard 5V MicroUSB port, using the TP4056 integrated on the board. In addition, it includes an LED indicator for charging and standby, providing useful visual feedback.
The module features an adjustable boost converter, capable of raising the battery voltage from 4.5V to 24V, with a maximum current of 1A. It should be noted that the module does not offer protection against excessive discharge, due to the lack of a dedicated IC (such as the DW01 present on other modules with TP4056) which requires the use of an additional BMS protection circuit if necessary.
Be careful with the potentiometer, it can be easily damaged if excessive force is applied when turning.
Specifications:
Battery Voltage Used: 3 - 4.2VDC, Lithium battery
Supply voltage: DC 4.5V - 7.5VDC
USB connector: MicroUSB
Output voltage: DC 4.3V - 27V (adjustable via integrated potentiometer)
Maximum output current: 2A, recommended up to 1A
Charging voltage: 4.2V
Charging current: 1A
Static current: ~0.5mA
Dimensions: 33 x 23 x 5mm
Weight: 6 g
Use:
The module can be powered by an external DC source (4.5V - 8V) or by a 5V USB port.
Connect a 3.7V Li-ion battery to the BAT+ and BAT- terminals. The LED indicates the charging status when the external power supply is connected.
The voltage can be adjusted by turning the trimmer (potentiometer). Turn counterclockwise to increase the voltage. Be careful when turning the potentiometer, however, because if it is forced beyond its mechanical limit, it will be damaged.
Connect the desired consumer to the OUT+, OUT- output, it will receive the adjusted voltage from the module.
Attention to protection: The module does not include over-discharge protection, so the use of a battery protection board (BMS) is recommended.
* The USB port is MicroUSB type
