The STC-1000 thermostat module is a practical and efficient solution for temperature control in various applications, with an adjustment range between -50 and 90 degrees C. Equipped with a waterproof external probe, this model is suitable both for temperature control in dry environments and for applications where water monitoring is necessary, such as aquariums, incubators, refrigerated display cases, or various heating and cooling systems.

The STC-1000 allows operation in both heating and cooling modes, offering high flexibility in use. It features an adjustable delayed start function between 1 and 10 minutes, useful for protecting connected equipment and ensuring more stable system operation. The clear display and simple control make it easy to configure, and the integrated audible alarm helps quickly signal situations that require attention.

Due to its low energy consumption, compact size, and 10A relay, this thermostat is a very good choice for electronic projects, simple automation, and temperature control systems in home or semi-professional environments.

This model stores settings after short power outages (EEPROM memory) and offers simple control via digital display and menus dedicated to parameters F1-F4. Thanks to output relays for heating and cooling, the STC-1000 is an excellent choice for compact automation and thermal control systems in home or light industrial environments.

The thermostat has 2 separate relays, one for cooling and one for heating. These do not supply voltage; they behave like a closed or open contactor.

Usage:

The STC-1000 thermostat has 4 main configuration parameters:

- F1: set temperature

- F2: hysteresis or switching difference

- F3: delay for compressor protection

- F4: displayed temperature calibration

 

What each setting means:
Parameter Name Purpose Range

How to enter settings:

- Power the module and connect the probe

- Press the S button for about 3 seconds to enter the menu

- The first parameter appears on the screen

- Use the up or down keys to select F1, F2, F3, or F4

- Press S again to view the parameter value

- Modify the value using the up or down keys

- Press S to save

- If no button is pressed for a few seconds, the device returns to the normal display

 

Example of heating configuration:

You want to maintain a space or a tank at 25 degrees C using a heating resistor.

Recommended settings:

F1: 25

F2: 1

F3: 1

F4: 0

Load: connected to Heating (5 and 6)

 

How it works:

In heating mode, the thermostat turns on the heating output when the temperature drops below the set value minus the difference and turns off when it reaches the set temperature. For this example:

The set temperature is 25 degrees C.

The difference is 1 degree C.

Heating turns on at 24 degrees C.

Heating turns off at 25 degrees C.

 

Example of cooling configuration:

You want to maintain a refrigerator, a chiller, or an aquarium at 4 degrees C using a cooling system.

  

Recommended settings:

F1: 4

F2: 2

F3: 3

F4: 0

Load: connected to Cooling (7 and 8)

 

How it works:

In cooling mode, the thermostat turns on the cooling output when the temperature exceeds the set value plus the difference and turns off when it returns to the set temperature. For this example:

The set temperature is 4 degrees C.

The difference is 2 degrees C.

Cooling turns on at 6 degrees C.

Cooling turns off at 4 degrees C.

 

Practical example:

If the refrigerator temperature rises to 6 degrees C, the compressor starts after the delay time set in F3 expires. When the temperature drops back to 4 degrees C, cooling stops.

  

Delay Setting:

The delay is set via parameter F3.

- Turn on the thermostat

- Hold the S button for about 3 seconds to enter the menu

- Use the up or down keys to select F3

- Press S again to enter the value

- Set the desired value between 1 and 10 minutes

- Press S to save

- Wait a few seconds for the device to return to the normal display

 

What F3 does:

F3 represents the startup delay for compressor protection and is mainly used in cooling.

If, for example, you set F3: 3, then the cooling output does not start immediately but only after 3 minutes from the moment the thermostat requests startup.

 

Example:

You have set:

F1: 4

F2: 2

F3: 3

If the temperature reaches 6 degrees C, the thermostat requests cooling, but the compressor starts only after 3 minutes. When the temperature returns to 4 degrees C, cooling stops.

For cooling equipment such as refrigerators, chillers, or other compressor systems, immediate restart after shutdown can be harmful. If the thermostat switched very quickly on-off-on, the compressor would be forced to restart too often, which can lead to accelerated wear, unstable operation, or even failure. For this reason, the STC-1000 includes parameter F3, which introduces a protection pause before restarting.
