The reverse polarity protection module is a compact and efficient solution for protecting sensitive electronic equipment against incorrect power supply connection.

Based on a power MOSFET transistor with an extremely low internal resistance, below 5 mΩ, the module introduces a negligible voltage drop in the circuit, below 50 mV at maximum load, which practically eliminates energy losses and the risk of overheating.

It operates over a wide voltage range, from 3 to 28 VDC, and supports a continuous current of up to 12 A, with peaks of up to 15 A, making it suitable for both medium-power applications and more demanding circuits. The response time of under 1 μs ensures instant protection: when the polarity is connected correctly, current flows freely to the load, and if the terminals are accidentally reversed, the module completely blocks current flow, preventing any damage to downstream components.

Thanks to its compact 12 x 22 mm size, it can be easily integrated into any project, regardless of available space. The module is compatible with any DC power supply within the specified voltage range, including batteries, rechargeable cells, solar panels, or laboratory power supplies, and can be used together with Arduino, ESP32, STM32 development boards, or any other electronic platform that requires reverse polarity protection.

Usage:

Connect the positive terminal of the power supply (battery, rechargeable cell, solar panel) to pin B+ and the negative terminal to pin B-.

Connect the load (the circuit that needs to be protected) to terminals V+ and V-, respecting polarity.

Check the connections before powering the circuit.

When connected correctly, the module allows current to pass freely to the load with no intervention.

In the event of accidental reversal of the power supply polarity, the module automatically blocks the current, protecting the load connected at the output.

No additional configuration is required; the module operates passively, without external components.
