Portable smoke extractor kit, using a 3D printed housing, 60mm fan with good airflow, 18650 holder and a charging and power circuit.

The product requires a mandatory 18650 battery because it uses the TP4056 integrated circuit, which handles charging and protecting the battery, and a voltage booster that raises the battery voltage to 12V necessary for the fan to operate.

The filter is removable and has a system that keeps the activated carbon sponge fixed. Given the small size of the filter, to change it it will be necessary to cut out the 55x60mm size from a larger filter.

Assembly:

Shorten the fan wires to the length needed to solder them to the output of the voltage booster module. The remaining wires will be used to make the connection between the TP4056 module, the voltage booster module and the ON/OFF button.

Insert the KCD11 button into the dedicated socket and solder a wire between the button pin (either of the two) and OUT+ of the TP4056. The second wire is soldered between the remaining free KCD11 button pin and IN+ of the voltage booster module. It is advisable to use heat shrink tubing to insulate the KCD11 switch pins.

Solder the 18650 battery holder wires to the TP4056, Red to B+ and Black to B- . Here too, it is recommended to shorten the wires. The battery holder wires will be redirected through the holes at the base of the holder. Otherwise, due to the limited space, it is possible to cut them when assembling the case.

Solder the fan wires to the output of the voltage booster, Red to OUT+ and Black to OUT- .

Solder the OUT- of the TP4056 module to the IN- of the voltage booster.

The TP4056 module has a dedicated socket in the case (no screws or glue required). Place the fan in the case with the battery holder (with the battery installed) and the voltage booster, push the KCD11 button into the dedicated socket and position the voltage booster in the remaining free space. Route the fan wires through the dedicated cutout (the fan placed with the wires down).

Close the case and (slowly) thread the 6 M3 screws that hold it closed. It is necessary to thread slowly because the screws will create their own thread in the plastic as they thread. If you screw too quickly with a drill or electric screwdriver, the plastic will melt and the screw will spin loose. Maintain pressure between the two halves of the case while threading to keep the case together.
