The PBS-110 button is a non-locking metal pushbutton (momentary), with a normally open contact (NO) and a white cap. It is used for short-duration manual commands in control panels, equipment enclosures, automation devices, and electronic projects. The button closes the circuit only while it is being pressed and returns to its initial position when released.
The contact is 1NO, and the button supports 250 VAC at 1 A or 125 VAC at 3 A. The threaded body is mounted in a 7 mm hole, and the button diameter is 7 mm. The contact is a dry contact, with no polarity, so the two terminals can be connected in any order.
Among the main features are the threaded metal body for panel mounting, included locking nut, two connection terminals, white cap, and service life of tens of thousands of actuations. The button does not have its own power supply; it switches the external circuit in which it is installed.
Being a simple contact, the button can also be used as a digital input for Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, or other boards, together with a pull-up or pull-down resistor. It can also control relays, contactors, and other control circuits within the specified voltage and current limits.
Specifications:
Supported voltage: 250 VAC (at 1 A) or 125 VAC (at 3 A)
Maximum current: 1 A at 250 VAC or 3 A at 125 VAC
Model: PBS-110
Actuation: Non-locking (momentary)
Contact type: 1NO (normally open)
Terminals: 2
Button diameter: 7 mm
Mounting hole diameter: 7 mm
Mounting: Panel mount, with nut
Material: Metal
Color: White
Use:
If the button switches the 220 VAC mains voltage, it is dangerous. Connections must be made only with the circuit disconnected from the mains, by a qualified person.
Make a 7 mm diameter hole in the panel, then insert the button through the front of the panel and tighten the nut on the back.
Connect the two terminals in series with the controlled circuit, by soldering or with suitable clamps. The contact has no polarity, so terminal order does not matter.
Do not exceed 1 A at 250 VAC or 3 A at 125 VAC. For inductive loads or for a longer service life, choose a current as low as possible compared to the maximum values.
Insulate the terminals with heat-shrink tubing when the button switches dangerous voltages, and keep soldering brief so as not to damage the plastic body.
For use as an input on a development board, connect one terminal to a digital pin and the other to GND, then enable the internal pull-up resistor (for example INPUT_PULLUP on Arduino). The pin will read LOW while the button is pressed.
For stable operation, filter contact bounce in software or with a small capacitor connected in parallel with the button.
