The MC-38 Magnetic Sensor is a magnetic door and window sensor designed for home alarm systems. This device detects the opening of a door or window and can activate an alarm or other security devices when the magnetic contact between the two components is broken. The sensor is easy to install, providing or not voltage on the two wires, depending on whether or not the magnet is detected in the proximity of the sensor.

Use:
Mount the switch part (the one with wires) on the frame and the magnetic part on the door or window.
Make sure the devices are close together to maintain a closed circuit under normal conditions.
Connect the sensor to your alarm system or any compatible access control system. The sensor opens the circuit when the magnet is no longer in proximity to the sensor. The voltage that you want to use as a signal will pass through this sensor.
