The Waveshare RP2350-Plus board represents a significant evolution over the Raspberry Pi Pico 2, built around the RP2350A microcontroller and designed to maintain full pin compatibility with existing accessories and extensions from the Pico family. This compact board, measuring 51 x 21 mm with castellated edges, can be soldered directly onto a carrier board, offering maximum flexibility in embedded system design.
At the core of the board is an RP2350A microcontroller with an innovative dual-core architecture: the user can choose between a dual-core Arm Cortex-M33 processor or a dual-core RISC-V Hazard3 processor, both operating at clock frequencies of up to 150 MHz. This dual architecture opens up unique optimization opportunities for different types of applications. The board comes equipped with 520 KB of SRAM and 4 MB of integrated flash memory (or 16 MB in the expanded version), generous resources for complex automation, data acquisition, or communications projects.
Connectivity is provided through 26 multifunctional GPIO pins, offering access to 2 SPI interfaces, 2 I2C interfaces, 2 UART interfaces, 4 12-bit ADC channels, and 16 PWM channels. In addition, the 12 PIO (Programmable I/O) state machines allow custom communication protocols to be implemented directly in hardware, without burdening the main processors. The board is compatible with Arduino IDE (via the Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040 package by Earle F. Phillhower III), MicroPython, CircuitPython, and Pico SDK (C/C++), making it accessible to both beginners and advanced developers.
A key strength of the Waveshare RP2350-Plus board is its integrated power system: the MP28164 DC-DC buck-boost circuit, with a maximum load of 2 A, together with the ETA6096 charging manager and the dedicated header for 3.7 VDC Li-Ion batteries, enable portable battery-powered use with automatic recharging during operation via the USB Type-C port. The USB Type-C connector provides both fast programming and 5 VDC power supply to the board. The board also includes a programmable LED, a BOOT button, a RESET button, and dedicated test points for USB, BOOT, and debugging.

Usage:
To program the board with Arduino IDE, add the following link in the preferences section of Arduino IDE (File > Preferences): https://github.com/earlephilhower/arduino-pico/releases/download/4.5.2/package_rp2040_index.json

Then, from Board Manager, install Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040 by Earle F. Phillhower, III.

When you connect the board to a computer via a USB Type-C cable and hold down the BOOT button, a drive named RPI-RP2 will appear on the computer.
