DC-DC voltage converter module with double voltage output (plus and minus). It can manage a varied range of input voltages, between 3 and 24VDC and can provide multiple output voltages both positive and negative. It is ideal for applications that require a stable dual power supply, such as audio equipment, car amplifiers, LCD power supply and measurement equipment.
The module comes factory set on the output voltage of 5VDC but can be reconfigured to output a different voltage, by simply replacing the resistor R1 (caution, this is SMD).
The module works
To obtain a more stable voltage, it is recommended that the output be greater than 10mA.
V- cannot be used alone, otherwise there will be no voltage output. V+ can be used individually.
This module works both as a step-down and step-up voltage and can provide a maximum power of 8W (we recommend up to 5W).
DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM SUPPLY VOLTAGE OF 24VDC!

Integrated Functionalities:
Frequency compensation
Soft-Start function
Thermal Protection
Current Limiting
Connecting and Configuring the Module:
Make sure that the input voltage does not exceed the maximum allowed range of 3-24V.
Configure the desired output voltage by changing resistor R1 if a different voltage than the one set in the factory is required.
The following formula can be used to determine the value of R1 depending on the desired tension:
R 1 = 2000 ( 1.25 V o u t − 1 )
This formula returns R1 value in Ohms.
Connect the module to the appropriate power source and consumer, making sure that the input power is greater than the output power to compensate for the module's own consumption.
Operation and Adjustments:
Monitor the output using a multimeter to ensure that the output voltage is correct and stable.
If the output voltage is lower than the nominal voltage, check if the input power supply provides enough power.
If the negative voltage is not present or is too low, check if the co-denominator is correctly connected to both the positive and negative voltage terminals.
Negative voltage cannot be used alone. When using a negative voltage, a similar load must be connected to the positive voltage terminal.
