The jumper cap, also known as a shunt or shorting cap, is a simple and indispensable accessory in electronics, used to electrically connect two adjacent pins of a standard-pitch header connector with a 2.54mm pitch. The body is made of black plastic, and inside there is a metal contact that makes the connection between the two pins when the cap is inserted onto the connector.
