The L298 driver is a dual high-current H-bridge designed to accept standard TTL logic levels and drive inductive loads such as relays, electromagnets, DC motors and stepper motors. It is compatible with Arduino and other development boards. The microcontroller can communicate through the dedicated pins of this module through I/O and through PWM, allowing the control of the motor in terms of direction and speed. It has Enable pins to enable or disable the corresponding terminal (for example by connecting with external digital sensors).

The H-bridge allows the control of two DC motors and a single stepper motor.
