The PCA9685 module is a high-performance PWM driver, designed for precise control of up to 16 independent PWM outputs via an I2C interface, using only 2 pins of the development board. Due to its efficient architecture, the module is ideal for applications involving the control of servo motors, LEDs, or other PWM loads.

The I2C communication allows connecting multiple modules in a chain, expanding the number of available channels. The 12-bit resolution ensures fine and precise control of position or intensity, with 4096 steps per channel.

The adjustable PWM frequency between 40 and 1000Hz offers flexibility for various types of applications.

The 5-10V DC supply voltage makes it compatible with most embedded systems. The module is compatible with Arduino (Uno, Mega, Nano), ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and any other platform with an I2C interface.

Specifications:

Usage:

Connect the VCC pin to 3.3V or 5V on the development board.

Connect the GND pin to the ground of the development board.

Connect SDA to the SDA pin of the board (e.g., A4 on Arduino Uno, GPIO 21 on ESP32).

Connect SCL to the SCL pin of the board (e.g., A5 on Arduino Uno, GPIO 22 on ESP32).

Power the V+ pin with the voltage required by the servo motors or load (5-10V DC).

Install the Adafruit PWM Servo Driver library from the Library Manager.

Initialize the module in code with the default address 0x40.

Set the PWM frequency depending on the type of load (e.g., 50Hz for standard servo motors).

Control each individual channel using the setPWM(channel, on, off) function.

To address multiple modules simultaneously, adjust the A0-A5 jumpers to change the I2C address.
