This double omnidirectional wheel with a diameter of 100 mm is designed for robotic applications requiring full mobility, offering movement, rotation, and lateral displacement at 360 degrees without changing the platform's orientation. The double-row roller construction ensures superior stability compared to single-row variants, distributing the load evenly and maintaining constant contact with the rolling surface.

The wheel body is made of durable nylon, and the 18 peripheral rollers are coated with rubber for optimal grip and reduced slipping on smooth or semi-rough surfaces. The roller bearings are made from brass tubing, ensuring quiet operation and long-lasting durability. The mounting system with a clear installation direction and simple installation options provides excellent load stability in operation. With a load capacity of 20 kg and a weight of only 295 g, this wheel represents a balanced solution for mobile robotic platforms, including direct compatibility with the 14049 robot racing wheel. It is compatible with control systems based on Arduino, STM32, ESP32, or any other controller that drives DC motors through dedicated drivers (L298N, TB6612, DRV8833, etc.).

Usage:

Check the wheel orientation before mounting. The double construction has a specific installation direction indicated by the manufacturer; follow it for correct operation.

Mount the wheel on the motor shaft using the compatible standard pivot shaft. Tighten the fixing screw firmly without drilling into the nylon hub material.

For an omnidirectional configuration with 4 wheels, position the wheels at the correct angles relative to the chassis (usually 45 degrees for the X configuration or parallel for the H configuration) so that the force vectors combine correctly.

Connect the motors to the compatible motor driver (e.g., L298N, TB6612FNG, DRV8833) and the driver to the control board (Arduino, ESP32, STM32, etc.).

Program the control logic so that each wheel receives the correct direction and speed for the desired movement. Lateral movement requires simultaneous activation of the wheels in opposite directions along the transverse axis.

Calibrate the speed of each motor individually to correct mechanical deviations and achieve precise linear displacement.

Test on a flat and smooth surface. Avoid surfaces with bumps or solid debris that can block the small peripheral rollers.

Periodically check the wear of the rubber rollers and the cleanliness of the brass bearings, especially in dusty environments or where material debris is present.
