Compact Powerbank module with USB Type-C, designed to manage the charging of Li-ion batteries and power consumers via a 5V USB port, with stable output voltage at 5V and a maximum current of 2A, which integrates battery protection functions and offers high efficiency.

It is ideal for DIY projects, power banks or portable systems with dual power supply (simultaneous charging + consumption).

The battery is charged via the USB Type-C port and the high 5V output can be accessed via the USB 2.0 Female jack or via the pins marked 5V + and -.

This module integrates a fixed voltage booster from the battery voltage (3-4.2V) to 5VDC. With this module the battery is protected from excessive discharge or charging.

The module allows charging Li-ion batteries (1 cell, 3.7V, or more in parallel) and at the same time provides a stable 5V/2A output through the boost function. The final charging voltage can be set manually (4.2V or 4.35V), and the system includes automatic protections for low current, undervoltage and pre-charging. It is compatible with an external button for manual on/off and integrates a USB-A output.

It has Automatic Output Shutdown if the load is below 50mA continuously (for energy saving).

On the module there is a series of LEDs that indicate the battery charge status, in 25% steps (4 LEDs).

External control button support:

1 short press → activate display and 5V output

2 short presses → deactivation

 

Use:

Connect the battery to the + and - pins (with a battery image between the pins) respecting the polarity.

External button connection (optional): Between point K and GND Output

Minimum ventilation is recommended if used at maximum current 2A.

Setting the final charging voltage:

4.2V (default) – for standard batteries

4.35V – is activated by modifying the solder jumper (see image "Battery Charging Voltage Regulation"), meaning a bridge will be made between the two circled contacts.
