This buck voltage converter module is designed to power and quickly charge devices compatible with quick charge 2.0 and 3.0 technologies, as well as other fast charging protocols. It accepts an input voltage in the range of 6 - 32 VDC and provides at the USB output a voltage that automatically adjusts between 3 and 12 VDC depending on the protocol of the connected device. In the absence of a device equipped with fast charging technology, the module delivers by default 5V, with a maximum current of 3.4A. The maximum output power is 24W (5V/3.4A, 9V/2.5A, 12V/2A). The conversion efficiency ranges between 90% and 97%, and the module includes protections for input overvoltage, undervoltage, output overcurrent, short circuit, and overheating.
The compact dimensions make it suitable for integration in DIY projects, mobile charging stations, solar systems, or for powering devices that require voltages higher than 5V.

Usage:
Connect the wires from the power source (car battery, Li-Po accumulator, solar panel, laboratory power supply) to the module respecting the polarity. The input voltage must be at least 1-2V higher than the desired maximum output voltage (e.g. for 12V output, you need at least 14V input). Insert the USB cable of the device to be charged into the module's USB type A port, and it will automatically detect the fast charging protocol and set the optimal voltage.
