The CJMCU-5351 module, with the MS5351M IC, is an I2C-controlled clock signal generator, using a precision clock to drive multiple PLLs and clock dividers via I2C commands.

This module is extremely versatile, allowing the creation of precise and arbitrary frequencies by configuring PLLs and dividers.

It has three independent outputs, each capable of a different frequency. The outputs are 3Vpp and can be used either through breadboard compatible connectors or, for RF work, through an optional SMA connector.

Pinout:

VIN – Power input for the module (3V – 5V DC), connected to the system voltage source.

GND – Ground reference, connects to the common ground of the circuit.

SCL – Clock line for I2C communication with the microcontroller.

SDA – Data line for configuring the module via I2C.

D0 (CLK0) – Programmable clock signal output. Square wave signal with user-defined frequency.

D1 (CLK1) – Second independent clock output. Configurable separately.

D2 (CLK2) – Third clock output. Useful for multi-frequency applications.

 

Use:

Power the module with a 3V - 5V DC source.

Connect the module to the desired microcontroller or digital system using the I2C interface.

Configure PLLs and dividers via I2C to generate the desired frequencies.

Use the available outputs for your application, either directly through the header or through an SMA connector for RF work.
