Use:
Mount the tip only with the station turned off and cold, then fix it correctly in the solder holder, according to the soldering station instructions.
Clean the tip periodically with a damp sponge or brass wool and apply a thin layer of tin after cleaning.
Finally, lightly tin the tip and let the station go into standby or turn it off to extend its lifespan.
