The DC-DC Step Down power supply module that integrates a 5.0V AMS1117 providing a stable 5V power supply solution, perfect for a wide range of electronic applications, such as Arduino projects, Raspberry Pi or other devices that require a constant 5V voltage .
The input voltage is flexible, between 6V and 12V, this module ensures protection against overload by limiting the output current to 800mA, thus protecting both the device and the electronic components it supplies.
Used at a current higher than 500mA, this module requires ACTIVE COOLING , there is a risk of damage due to overheating.
The module is equipped with a power indicator LED (red light) that signals correct operation and the presence of input voltage.
Specifications:
Input voltage: 6 - 12VDC
Output voltage: 5.0VDC, fixed
Output current: Max. 800mA (active cooling required over 500mA)
Indicator: Red LED for power
Pitch (distance between pins): 2.54 mm
Module dimensions: 26 x 11mm
Use:
Enter an input voltage between 6V and 12V at the terminals marked with VIN+ and GND- . Make sure that the input voltage is always higher than the fixed output voltage of 5V.
Notice the red LED on the module. It should be lit, indicating that the module is properly powered.
Do not connect a load that exceeds 800mA, to prevent the risk of overload and damage. Ensure proper ventilation of the AMS and, if necessary, add active cooling (fan).
Connect the consumer to the pins marked with VOUT+ and GND- .
