18650 battery tester, color LCD, 4 channels, charge, discharge and internal resistance

Tester module for 18650 batteries, with the function of charging and discharging batteries, which allows the precise evaluation of internal resistance and capacity on four independent channels, being ideal for performance testing and separating batteries based on their characteristics.

It has 4 slots for 18650 batteries and a digital display that provides information about voltage, current, accumulated capacity and discharge/charge cycle. The module can be set to go through up to 9 charge-discharge cycles, without additional interventions.

For discharging, it uses 4 resistors placed under an actively cooling fan, being able to discharge with a current of up to 1A per cell.

The module displays the internal resistance of the battery with average accuracy, using the 2-wire measurement method. This method is not as precise as the 4-wire method, but it gives a clear idea of the health of the battery.

Each channel offers support for 18650 or the possibility to connect wires directly (Plus and Minus) to the terminal positioned at the end of the battery socket. This aspect is ideal when you want to use another type of battery.

To charge the batteries, the module offers 2 Type-C ports, each connected to 2 channels. To charge all 4 channels, it is necessary to supply via Type-C from two chargers.

The battery discharge voltage can be set between 2.5 and 3.5VDC.

The module supports English and Chinese. Switching between languages is done by disconnecting the power supply, keeping the M button pressed, powering the module and releasing the button after the screen lights up, followed by an ON/OFF cycle.

Use:

Work mode setting:

Adjust the desired mode (load, download, auto).

Configure parameters:

Choose the stop discharge voltage between 2.5V and 3.5V through the "Adjust/S" button.

Set the number of cycles in automatic mode, if necessary.

Charging/discharging batteries:

Connect the power supply to the Type-C interface, the first two channels having the first Type-C plug, channels 3 and 4 having the second Type-C plug dedicated to charging, place the battery and press "Start/Stop" to start the test.

In charging mode, charging will stop automatically upon reaching the maximum tension of 4.2V.

After completing the cycle, the device displays the results regarding the capacity, time and energy used.

Internal resistance measurement:

For accurate results, fully charge the battery before testing. Discharged batteries can give incorrect resistance values.
