SY6048 60A MPPT+PWM solar controller, designed to work with solar panels between 15 and 90V depending on battery voltage, providing increased efficiency in managing solar energy.
It uses Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, ensuring tracking efficiency of over 99%, extracting the greatest possible amount of energy from solar panels. It is compatible with Seal, GEL, Flooded and LiFePO4 batteries and allows automatic identification of battery voltage (12V/24V/36V/48V).
The backlit LCD screen provides a clear view of operating parameters, such as battery voltage, charge and discharge current, operating temperature and active mode. It allows the selection of one of 7 operating modes, adaptable depending on the usage scenario – from automatic light control to manual or timed control.
The controller offers complete protection against overvoltage, overcurrent and overheating, making it a reliable solution. It includes two 5V USB ports for charging mobile devices directly from the solar system.
The charge and discharge termination voltages can be set individually in manual mode.
Connect the battery to the controller before connecting the solar panel.

Power table:
Battery voltage | Maximum PV power | Recommended Voc Voltage PV |
---|---|---|
12V | 720W | 15V – 23V |
24V | 1440W | 30V – 45V |
36V | 2160W | 45V – 69V |
48V | 2880W | 60V – 90V |
VoC is the open circuit voltage. PV is the solar panel.
Use:
Connect the battery to the controller before connecting the solar panel.
Connection order: 1. Charged battery - 2. Solar panel - 3. Consumer
Disconnection order: 1. Consumer - 2. Solar Panel - 3. Battery
Example of use in mode 3 (Light) with 12V GEL battery and solar panel up to 23V (measured in empty):
First connect the 12V battery to the controller (BAT+ and BAT- ports).
Then connect the solar panel to the PV+ and PV- input.
Finally, connect the consumer (e.g. LED bulb) to the discharge port (LOAD+ and LOAD-).
The LCD screen will turn on automatically.
The controller automatically detects the 12V voltage.
Access the settings menu:
Press the "OK" button to enter the menu.
Navigate using the "▲" and "▼" arrows.
Set the battery type (ex: GEL):
Select the "Battery Type" option and choose the correct type (ex: GEL).
Choose the working mode (Mode 3):
Look for the "Work Mode" option and select "Mode 3" (Light + Time Delay Control).
Set the download duration (timer):
In the "Load Time" menu, set the desired time, for example: 05:00 for 5 hours.
Save and return to the main screen:
Long press "OK" or exit the menu to save the settings.
Result:
The controller will detect sunset, after 10 minutes, it will start discharging and keep the light on for 5 hours. After 5 hours, the discharging will stop automatically.
