Active capacitive balancing module for LiFePo4 and Lithium Ion (Ternar) batteries, designed to ensure uniform voltage distribution between lithium battery cells in a pack, eliminating the risk of unbalance. With a balancing current of up to 1.5A and an accuracy of 3mV, this module offers high efficiency and stability, with minimal power consumption, making it ideal for battery pack maintenance, DIY projects or PACK applications.
The system uses high-frequency, low-resistance ceramic capacitors for long-term stability and reliability. The maximum current of 1.5A is reached when there is a pressure difference (voltage in this case) between two adjacent batteries. As the voltages get closer, the current decreases.
Unlike passive resistive balancing, which generates heat and has lower efficiency, the active capacitive module offers low power consumption and high accuracy, without the heat generation of a passive module.
The module is compatible with both classic Lithium (Ternary) batteries of 4.2V and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries of 3.6V per cell. The module only transfers energy between adjacent cells until balance is reached between the cells, regardless of their voltage (maximum 4.2V) or type.
The module is protected against over-discharge by its hibernation protection function, activated automatically when the voltage drops below 2.5V. In addition, the wiring rules must be observed: incorrect connection of the 0V wire (total negative) can damage the board. The use of the power wire is efficient when the length is as short as possible, the included 30 cm cable is recommended.
To prevent damage to the module, it is recommended to keep it in a dry environment, at operating temperatures between 30-45°C. Each module is rigorously tested to guarantee a lifespan of between 3 and 5 years for the capacitors, and can last even longer under normal use conditions.
The board features an LED that indicates the cell balancing operation, providing a clear visual indicator.

Use:
Connect the module starting from 0V (total negative) and continue according to the specified order until the last battery. Any error in connecting the wire may lead to damage to the board.
The length of the cable provided (22AWG) is sufficient. It is recommended that the length be as short as possible for better performance, considering that longer lengths increase the resistance of the wire.
Make sure the modules are connected correctly and that the voltage of each cell complies with the battery specifications.
