## Description

Metal bracket for quickly mounting and fixing a Nema17 42mm stepper motor, ideal for CNC, 3D printers and automation projects. Rigid metal construction for stability and reduced vibrations, easy mounting on chassis or board, precise motor alignment, compatible with standard Nema17 screws and long-term use in technical environments.
The L-type metal bracket 57L holds and secures NEMA17 stepper motors (42 mm) in a horizontal position. It can be mounted on the frame of a 3D printer, a CNC machine, a robot, or any other automation project. It is made of 3 mm thick steel, with a black painted surface, which provides good rigidity and basic protection against oxidation.
The main features are the 3 mm steel construction with a painted finish and the L shape with two side stiffening ribs, which reduce flexing and vibrations during operation. The vertical plate has the standard NEMA17 pattern, with 4 holes of 3.5 mm for M3 screws, spaced 31 mm apart. The 22.1 mm center hole receives the motor centering collar. With the motor mounted, the shaft is positioned 30 - 30.5 mm above the mounting surface, which makes alignment with couplings, threaded rods, or pulleys easier.
The base has two parallel slots 4.2 mm wide, suitable for M4 screws, with a 30 mm adjustment travel. This allows the motor position to be adjusted along the shaft direction before tightening the screws.
The motor is placed on the inner side of the bracket, between the two ribs, and the shaft passes through the vertical plate. The bracket is used in projects with NEMA17 motors driven by drivers such as A4988, DRV8825, or TMC2208. These can be controlled by Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico boards, or by 3D printer and CNC control boards. The motor shown in the images is for illustrative purposes and is not included.

Usage:
Set the mounting position on the chassis or base plate and mark the screw locations, using the slots in the bracket base as a template.
Secure the bracket to the mounting surface with M4 screws and nuts, without fully tightening them.
Insert the NEMA17 motor on the inner side of the bracket, between the two ribs, so that the centering collar fits into the 22.1 mm hole and the shaft passes through the vertical plate.
Align the motor holes with the 4 holes in the plate and fasten the motor with appropriately sized M3 screws, taking into account the 3 mm plate thickness and the thread depth in the motor housing.
Tighten the motor screws in a cross pattern, evenly, without forcing the threads.
Adjust the bracket position within the 30 mm slot travel to align with the coupling, pulley, or driven mechanism. Keep in mind that the motor shaft is located 30 - 30.5 mm above the mounting surface.
Tighten the base screws firmly after adjustment.
Connect the motor to the driver used and check operation at low speed, making sure the bracket does not vibrate or move.
Periodically check screw tightness, especially in applications with vibration or frequent starts and stops.
