## Description

Detects carbon monoxide in homes and DIY projects, with a measurement range of 10-1000 ppm. Operates at 5V and requires preheating for stable readings. Offers 0-5V analog output for precise value and TTL digital output with adjustable threshold from potentiometer. Can be used with Arduino or standalone.
MQ7 sensor used for the detection of carbon monoxide in the house.
The sensor must be allowed to warm up before taking measurements with it.
The MQ-7 module can also be used independently of the Arduino, as it has a digital output (5V) and a potentiometer for setting the trigger. The analog output pin can be read to find out the exact value. Reading it is relatively simple, needing only a simple analog reading code (see the example code below).
Specifications:
Detected concentration: 10 - 1000ppmCO
Supply voltage: 5VDC, a50mA
Output: Digital pin or Analog pin
Analog output: 0 - 5V; the voltage increases or decreases depending on the detected concentration
TTL Digital Output
Analogue reading code example:
void setup() {
// initialize serial communication at 9600 bits per second:
Serial.begin(9600);
}
// the loop routine runs over and over again forever:
void loop() {
// read the input on analog pin 0:
int sensorValue = analogRead(A0);
// print out the value you read:
Serial.println(sensorValue);
delay(1); // delay in between readings for stability
}
