## Description

Compact WiFi development board for IoT projects and automation, based on ESP8266, with 16MB flash for complex firmware and OTA updates, ceramic antenna and U.FL connector for external antenna and better coverage, 11 I/O pins plus analog input, CP2104 USB-to-serial interface, and compatibility with Arduino IDE, MicroPython, NodeMCU, and ESPHome.
The WEMOS D1 Mini Pro board is a compact WiFi development board based on the ESP-8266EX chip, suitable for IoT projects, automation, and wireless applications where space is limited. This version offers 16MB of flash memory, enough for complex firmware, locally stored web pages, and OTA updates, as well as an integrated ceramic antenna together with a U.FL (IPEX) connector for an external antenna, useful when a greater WiFi range is needed.
The board’s main features are an 80 / 160 MHz processor, 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity, 11 digital I/O pins with support for interrupts, PWM, I2C, and one-wire (except D0), one analog input with a maximum voltage of 3.2V, the CP2104 USB-to-serial converter, and the reset button. All IO pins operate at 3.3V and are not 5V tolerant. I2C communication is available on pins D1 (SCL, GPIO5) and D2 (SDA, GPIO4), while the SPI interface is on pins D5-D8 (SCK, MISO, MOSI, SS). Pin D4 is connected to the board’s built-in LED.
The board is compatible with Arduino IDE, MicroPython, NodeMCU (Lua), and ESPHome, and the D1 mini form factor allows direct mounting of shields from this family (sensors, relays, displays, power modules). Power is supplied through the Micro-USB port or via the 5V pin.

Usage:
Install the Silicon Labs CP210x driver if the operating system does not automatically recognize the board.
Connect the board to the computer using a data Micro-USB cable (not just a charging cable).
In Arduino IDE, add the address https://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json in Preferences and install the esp8266 package from Boards Manager.
Select the "LOLIN(WEMOS) D1 mini Pro" board, the corresponding COM port, and the 16MB flash size.
Upload the desired program and open Serial Monitor at 115200 baud for verification.
Do not apply voltages higher than 3.3V to the IO pins or higher than 3.2V to pin A0.
Avoid pulling pins D3 and D4 to GND or pin D8 to 3.3V at startup, as these determine the boot mode.
For the external antenna, check the position of the 0-ohm resistor on the board that selects the ceramic antenna or the U.FL connector, connect the antenna, and move the resistor if necessary.
