## Description

GPS receiver with RS232 output and NMEA 0183 messages, ideal for navigation, monitoring and time synchronization in industrial and maritime systems. It offers 1 Hz update, 66 channels with GPS QZSS support and SBAS corrections for an accuracy of about 2 m, has an active antenna integrated in an IP67 enclosure and is powered at 5 V, with a 2.5 m shielded cable for quick connection.
This QUESCAN GPS receiver with RS232 output and 5 VDC power supply (recommended) is a navigation and synchronization solution for industrial and maritime applications. The active antenna is integrated into a waterproof housing, and position data are transmitted as NMEA 0183 messages to a computer, an industrial controller, or other equipment with an RS232 port.
The receiver uses 66 channels and captures GPS and QZSS signals, with SBAS corrections of the WAAS type, offering a horizontal accuracy of approximately 2.0 m CEP with SBAS enabled. Time to first fix is about 31 seconds on a cold start and about 1 second on a warm start. The provided NMEA messages are RMC, GGA, GSA, GSV, GLL, and VTG, with a default update rate of 1 Hz and a tracking sensitivity of -165 dBm.
This version is factory configured to 9600 bps. Connection to the system is made through the 2.5 m shielded cable.

Usage:
For proper operation, make sure the antenna has a clear view of the sky, away from obstacles and sources of interference. Connect the receiver to an RS232 port on a PC, an industrial controller, or a communication station, then open a serial terminal configured to 9600 bps, 8 data bits, no parity, and one stop bit (8N1) to read the NMEA messages transmitted by the receiver.
Attention! The RS232 signal level is incompatible with the 3.3 V or 5 V TTL logic level used by microcontrollers. To connect this receiver to an Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi, an RS232-TTL converter is required (for example, MAX232).
