## Description

Compact solution for measuring UV radiation in DIY and industrial projects, detects 240-370nm covering UVB and most UVA, provides a stable analog output proportional to UV intensity, approximately 0.1V per UV index, operates at 2.5-5.5V with consumption under 1mA, connects quickly to any microcontroller with ADC.
The UV sensor module is a compact and efficient solution for detecting ultraviolet radiation in the 240-370nm spectrum, covering both the UVB band and most of the UVA band.
Its operation is based on a high-sensitivity photodiode, whose nanoampere-level signal is picked up and amplified by an operational amplifier integrated directly on the module. The result is a stable analog output voltage proportional to the detected UV intensity, with a response of approximately 0.1V per UV index unit.
The voltage provided on the OUT pin can be read directly by any microcontroller equipped with an analog-to-digital converter and converted into the UV index through a simple linear relation.
The module operates over a wide supply voltage range, between 2.5V and 5.5V DC, with a consumption below 1mA, making it ideal for both mains-powered applications and portable or battery-operated systems.
The small dimensions of 10.1 x 7.8mm and the weight of only 1g allow easy integration into compact projects, DIY weather stations, solar exposure monitoring devices, or UV warning systems.

Output
Analog voltage proportional to UV
Usage:
Connect the VIN pin to the power supply (2.5V - 5.5V DC) and the GND pin to the circuit ground.
Connect the OUT pin to an ADC pin of your microcontroller.
After powering up, the module immediately provides on the OUT pin a DC voltage proportional to the intensity of the detected UV radiation.
Read the output voltage and divide the value by 0.1 to obtain the corresponding UV index.
Make sure the module is directly exposed to the UV source, without obstacles or filters between the sensor and the source.
Warning: The UV LED on the module has a wavelength of 400nm, which is at the upper limit of the detection spectrum. It does not represent a calibrated reference source and should not be used for sensor testing.
