## Description

Digital module for real-time measurement of ambient light, ideal for lighting automation, weather stations, greenhouses and IoT projects. Offers direct readings in lux via I2C, 16-bit conversion with fine resolution, wide range 0-120 klx extendable up to 167 klx and operates at 3.3-5V with low consumption.
The VEML7700 digital ambient light sensor is a compact and precise module compatible with Arduino, STM32, ESP32, and other development boards with an I2C interface. It was designed for real-time light intensity measurement, providing values directly in lux through simple and reliable I2C communication.
The main features of this module include: 16-bit analog-to-digital conversion, a wide measurement range up to 120 klx with the possibility to extend up to 167 klx, very fine resolution of 0.0036 lx/ct, and accuracy of 0.005 lx/ct. The Filtron technology allows the sensor to approximate the spectral sensitivity of the human eye, and the O-Trim function ensures low tolerance between modules, guaranteeing consistent readings.
The module can be powered directly at 3.3V or 5V, making it easy to integrate into any project. The 3Vo pin provides a stabilized 3.3V output, usable for powering light peripherals. The extremely low power consumption — 45 µA in operation and 0.5 µA in shutdown — makes it suitable for battery-powered applications as well.
The module is ideal for lighting automation, weather stations, greenhouse light monitoring, and IoT projects that require stable and precise data about the ambient light intensity.
