## Description

5.6 inch resistive touch screen, ideal for Arduino projects and other development boards where you need precise touch position detection and touch control. It operates at 5V and is compatible with 5V logic, responds quickly under 6 ms, can be operated with gloves, pen or any object, suitable for interactive applications and industrial prototyping.
Resistive touch screen, ST-05601, compatible with Arduino and other development boards, which allows the creation of projects that require detecting the position on the surface of a screen, for example, to provide touch control. Being a resistive screen, it can be used with gloves, a pen or any other instrument, being able to detect touch with any object. This feature also makes it suitable for projects such as a ball balancing platform, where the position of the ball is controlled by tilting the platform with two servomotors.
The screen supports a supply voltage of 5VDC, being compatible with 5v logic.
Specifications:
Supply voltage: 5VDC
Model: ST‑05601
Screen type: resistive touch
Size: 5.6 inches / 125.5 x 98mm
Response time: <= 6 ms
Weight: 36g
Use:
Connect the signal cables to the device interface. Use the touch surface for navigation, applying moderate pressure.
Avoid direct exposure to liquids, excessive dust, or mechanical shock to extend the life of the screen.
Example of connecting to Arduino:
Y1 - A0
X2 - A1
Y2 - A2
X1 - A3
Example code:
_______________________________________
int Y1 = A0;
int X2 = A1;
int Y2 = A2;
int X1 = A3;
void setup() {
Serial.begin(9600);
}
int readX(){
pinMode(X1, INPUT);
pinMode(X2, OUTPUT);
pinMode(Y2, INPUT);
pinMode(X1, OUTPUT);
digitalWrite(x2, LOW);
digitalWrite(x1, HIGH);
delay(5);
return analogRead(y1);
}
int readY(){
pinMode(y1, OUTPUT);
pinMode(x2, INPUT);
pinMode(y2, OUTPUT);
pinMode(x1, INPUT);
digitalWrite(y1, LOW);
digitalWrite(y2, HIGH);
delay(5);
return analogRead(x2);
}
void loop(){
int x = readX();
int y = readY();
Serial.print("x: ");
Serial.print(x);
Serial.print("y: ");
Serial.println(y-);
}
