## Description

Balance connector for Li-Ion/LiPo 4S packs, with 5-pin XH2.54 plug compatible with most balance chargers. Comes with 10cm 22AWG silicone cable, flexible and durable, for direct connection to the battery cells and correct measurement of voltages on each element.
The 4S balance connector is an XH2.54 connector with 5 pins, supplied with pre-cut wires, intended for connecting a 4-cell lithium battery pack in series to a balance charger or to a cell monitoring system. The wires are connected to the cell tap points, and the connector allows checking and equalizing each cell’s voltage during charging. It is suitable for making or replacing the balance connector on LiPo or Li-Ion 4S battery packs for RC models, drones, and custom battery packs.
The connector has a 2.54 mm pitch and 5 positions, meaning the number of cells plus one, as required by a 4S pack. The cable is 22 AWG, with silicone insulation that is flexible and withstands soldering heat well. Each wire is 10 cm long and has a bare end, ready to be soldered or connected to the battery.
Among the main features are the white 5-position housing, four black wires and one red wire, the soft silicone insulation of the cable, and the short 10 cm length, useful where space is limited. The connector has no own power supply, since the voltages are those of the battery cells to which it is connected.
The connector is compatible with most balance chargers that use the XH connector for balance ports, as well as with protection and equalization boards (BMS) with a 5-pin XH connector for 4S configuration.

Use:
Disconnect the battery from the charger and from the load before connecting the wires of the connector, then check each cell voltage with a multimeter.
Connect the black wire from pin 1 to the battery negative, and the wires from pins 2, 3, and 4 to the positive terminals of cells 1, 2, and 3, in this order, according to the battery specifications.
Connect the red wire from pin 5 to the positive terminal of cell 4, that is, to the battery positive.
Solder the wires one by one and insulate each joint so that there is no contact between two points with different potential.
Do not short-circuit the wires during assembly, because lithium batteries can deliver high currents and may heat up dangerously.
After assembly, check that the voltage measured between pin 1 and each subsequent pin increases by approximately one cell, then connect the connector to the charger’s balance port.
Set the charger to balance charging mode and 4S cell count, then monitor the first minutes of charging.
Do not force the connector into the port, because the housing has a single correct orientation for connection.
For stable results, keep the wires as short as possible and do not exceed the connector’s rated current.
