## Description

Laser emitter-receiver barrier for rapid detection by beam interruption, ideal for automation, gates, conveyor belts, and parts counting. It offers a PNP NO output for easy integration into PLCs, 6-36VDC power supply, working distance up to 20 m, and simple alignment thanks to the 3 mm beam and the status LED on the receiver.
The laser barrier sensor set consists of a laser beam emitter module and a receiver module, supplied together with the nuts and washers required for mounting. Detection is performed by the occlusion method, meaning by interrupting the laser beam between the emitter and receiver, which allows the presence of an object to be detected practically at the speed of light. The two modules operate in a synchronized circuit to determine the presence or absence of the object, and detection is not limited to metal; any object that blocks the light can be identified.
The sensor is PNP type, and the receiver output is configured as NO (Normally Open), so the signal appears only when the beam is interrupted. Power supply is provided by a variable voltage between 6 and 36VDC, at a current of up to 200mA, which allows easy integration in industrial installations, automation systems, gates and barriers, conveyor belts, or part counting lines.
The construction uses quality components, with high detection sensitivity, operating stability, and remarkable durability. The housing is made of nickel-plated brass, and the diaphragm lens is made of wear- and scratch-resistant ABS material, offering a long service life. The infrared laser beam has a diameter of 3mm and ensures high precision of the detection point even at long distances, making alignment easy to achieve. The working distance between emitter and receiver can reach up to 20m, with a minimum distance of 0.3m.
The receiver is equipped with an inductive LED indicator that lights up when an object is detected, a useful feature both during commissioning and alignment of the two modules, as well as for quick troubleshooting of the installation. The connection cable has a length of 1.5m for each module, and the compact dimensions of 12 x 12 x 58mm allow installation in tight spaces, using the nuts and washers included in the package.
The sensor can be used together with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi boards or other compatible platforms, as well as directly with PLC programmable controllers that accept PNP inputs. Since the PNP output supplies the sensor supply voltage on the signal line, when connecting to a microcontroller operating at 3.3V or 5V, it is mandatory to use a resistor divider or a logic level converter to avoid damaging the input pin.

Usage:
The laser emitter has only two wires, brown for V+ and blue for GND. The receiver has three wires, as shown in the image above.
Mount the emitter and receiver facing each other, on rigid supports, using the included nuts and washers.
Ensure a distance between modules of 0.3m to 20m and as good an alignment as possible on the optical axis.
Connect the brown wire of both modules to the positive terminal of the 6-36VDC power supply.
Connect the blue wire of both modules to the power supply ground.
Power up the assembly and verify alignment by blocking and releasing the beam, while observing the indicator LED on the receiver.
Connect the black wire of the receiver to the PNP input of the PLC or to the microcontroller input through a resistor divider or logic level converter, if needed.
If using a microcontroller, add a 10k pull-down resistor between the input pin and ground for a stable signal.
Clean the lenses of both modules periodically to maintain the maximum detection distance.
