Mode
the DC voltage converter to dual voltage (positive and negative), which uses the integrated TPS5430, capable of a maximum current of 3A and an output of 5VDC. This module represents a high-efficiency power supply solution, intended for applications that require stabilized, positive and negative voltage sources. This module is ideal for powering operational amplifiers, data converters, and various equipment in the field of industrial automation, LED lighting, industrial control equipment, communication equipment and instrumentation.
The module supports an input voltage between 5.5 and 28VDC, with a maximum conversion efficiency of 95%.
This module is a voltage reducer, which is why the supply voltage must be higher than the output voltage (minimum 10%). The voltage conversion is reset to 500kHz.
The module integrates over-current protection and automatic overheating shutdown.
It should be noted that the negative voltage conversion pressure is lower than the positive voltage pressure and that the conversion efficiency in real use is actually somewhere around 85%.
This module integrates an ON/OFF button and presents a screw terminal for input and output power supply. The output is arranged in a practical and orderly way, having two terminals for positive voltage, two terminals for negative voltage and two terminals for GND.
The output voltage can be adjusted by changing resistors R1 and R2, according to the picture below.

Output Noise (ripple): 24mV for +5V, 56mV for -5V
Operating Temperature: 0-70°C
Interface Pins: Screw terminals, 5.08-2P x 4 connectors
Module dimensions: 50 x 50 x 12mm
Characteristics:
High Efficiency: The optimal theoretical conversion rate can reach 95%, with a measured efficiency of about 88%.
Protection: The module includes overheat protection and overcurrent protection functions, but does not include reverse polarity protection or circuit fuses.
Power Indicator: The module is equipped with an LED indicator that confirms the presence of the appropriate output voltage.
Thermal Dissipation: It requires attention to heat dissipation, especially at high loads. It is recommended to use cooling fins to keep the temperature within safe limits.
Use:
Make sure that the input voltage does not exceed 28V and is at least 1V higher than the desired output voltage to ensure stable operation.
Connect the power supply to the VCC and GND terminals of the module.
Connect consumer devices to the corresponding output terminals, respecting the polarity.
IMPORTANT: In the case of long-term use at close to maximum capacities, monitor the module for signs of overheating and consider improving the cooling solutions.
ATTENTION, the negative output produces a lot of heat! We do not recommend using the negative output in the long term or, in any case, carefully monitor the heat emitted by the module.
